What we collect, why, and who sees it.

Cannabis Jobs is run by one person, not an agency. There is no sales team and no data broker. This page is written plainly because you should be able to read it once and know exactly where you stand.

01The short version

02What we collect

If you join the talent pool, the form asks for an email address and a short set of questions. Every field is optional except your email.

What Why we ask
Email address To send you job alerts. It is the only thing we cannot work without.
Preferred region So we can tell you about roles near you rather than across the country.
Role you are after So we can filter out alerts that are not for you.
Experience level So a shop does not receive forty applications for a senior role.
Availability Immediate, one month's notice, or just looking.
CV status So we know whether you want help with your CV before anyone asks you for it.

If you post a role as an employer, we hold the company name, your name, an email address, and the role details you submit.

We do not ask for, want, or keep ID numbers, bank details, or medical information. If a CV you send us mentions a health matter, we treat that as yours and yours alone — see section 07.

03Who sees your details

This is the part worth reading carefully.

Plain language
Replying to a job alert is the moment your details move to an employer. Before that moment they are ours alone. That is the whole deal.

04Who runs this

Cannabis Jobs is operated by Full Extract, a data and intelligence business based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) the operator of a personal information store is the Information Officer. That person is JP Marais, and the contact details below are the formal route to him.

05What we never do

06Cookies, analytics and hosting

The site records aggregate traffic analytics — page views, referrers, rough device and country — through Google Analytics and Google Search Console. That is used to understand which pages are useful, and it is not used to build a profile of you.

We use a small number of third-party services. Each one sees your IP address when the page loads:

Service What it does
Netlify Hosts the site and delivers the forms.
MailerLite Runs the signup forms and sends the job alerts.
Paystack Handles payments for employers posting a role.
Google Fonts, jsDelivr Serve the fonts and stylesheets.

MailerLite is the only one of these that stores your email address, and it does so as the email delivery provider on our behalf.

07Health information

Under POPIA, health information is special-category personal information: more sensitive than the rest and subject to stricter rules. Cannabis work sometimes involves fitness questions, so this is worth stating plainly.

Full Extract does not collect health information. If you send us a CV and it mentions a health matter, we treat it as yours alone. We do not forward it, summarise it, file it, or pass it to an employer.

When we introduce you to an employer we pass your name and contact details only, and you send your own CV to them directly. That keeps your health information yours.

08How long we keep it

09Your rights

POPIA gives you the following, and you do not need to justify asking:

Email the address below. If you would rather not wait for a reply, the fastest route to deletion is to reply to any alert with “remove me” — that is actioned same day.

If you believe we have mishandled your information you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Change of mind
Nothing on this page is a trick to keep you in the pool. If cannabis work is not for you at the moment, ask to be removed and you will hear nothing from us again.
